Just a Few Rules for Class

Taro: it just tastes awful.

Rules for our class:

1.  Do not sleep in here during class. If you do, I will stop the class. If you continue to sleep, you will lose 5% off your final score. This is a classroom. This is NOT a bedroom.

2.  Do not speak Chinese a lot.

3.  You don’t have to wait in the hall before class.

4.  Do not say “I don’t know” in this class. This is a university. If you don’t know, it is your responsibility to find out.

Grades:

Grading

Final Exam 30%
Mid-term Quiz 10%
Homework 20%
Placement Test 10%
Attendance 20%
Writing 10%

Homework and classwork (20%). If you do it, I will give you 10/10 (out of) each time.

We have to do one writing assignment each semester.

Attendance means come to class. Right now, everyone has 20%. Every hour you miss, I deduct (- minus) 1%.

Writing is the university’s rule.

Write the first thing you think about as an answer under “You.” Do NOT write under “Classmate.”
